Create Your Own StRokes - No Floaties Required: Swimming the Digital Waters in the Elementary Classroom | nORTEL ALearn how you can help elementary students to create and publish their learning products through the use of 1. LMS; 2. Creation Tools; 3. Publishing Platforms. Participants will gain access to many tools and ideas for the 1:1 or Shared Devices Classroom.
K-5 👓 ⛱ Swimming with steam & Literacy | Nortel BRapunzel, Rumplestiltskin, a troll and other literary characters will introduce participants to the fun to be had with integrating STEM!! All of the 4 C's will be used as participants learn and interact with coding, challenges, task cards and projects that are integrated with children's books and their characters. Seven examples will be shared. Presenter will discuss various strategies that make STEM something every teacher can do...even in floaties! K-12 👓

Low Tech personlized playlists | BB&TLearn how you can engage recent pedagogical practices of PLAYLISTS in a low-tech environment. Participants will walk-away with best practices in how to guide students to curate playlists, incorporate technology with limited resources, and grading outlines/rubrics to help engage student voice and agency.
